Chaim M. Brickman, MD – Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Brickman joined Vidac in 2014 and brings to Vidac more than 35 years of experience in medical practice, laboratory and clinical research, drug development, clinical operations, safety monitoring and regulatory experience. Chaim received his medical degree from the Albert Einstein Medical Center, internal medicine certification at Wayne State University Medical Center, and fellowship training at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID, NIH). After holding teaching, research, and leadership roles at the NIH, Uniformed Services Medical Center (Maryland), Wayne State University Medical Center, Sinai Hospital of Detroit’s Research Institute, and Wolfson Medical Center (Israel), Chaim held senior positions at Inotek Pharmaceuticals Corporation (USA) and Teva Pharmaceuticals (Israel) where he helped manage Phase I-III clinical trials in the US, Israel, Western Europe, Australia, India, and Eastern Europe. In addition, Dr. Brickman has chaired an Institutional Review Board in the United States and served as medical monitor for numerous international pharmaceutical companies and Contract Research Organizations.
Dr. Emilia Hodak
Prof. Hodak is the Head of the Department of Dermatology and Head section of skin cancer at Beilinson Hospital, Head of the Department of Dermatology at Tel-Aviv University. She is internationally recognized as a key opinion leader in oncodermatology specialized in CTCL. She had written many peer reviewed scientific papers and reviews on these pathologies.
Prof. Eli Sprecher, MD, PhD - Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center
Prof. Sprecher is the Chairman of the Department of Dermatology at the Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center. Born in Waterloo, Belgium; moved to Israel in 1981; received his MD and PhD degrees from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem; specialized in dermatology at the Rambam Medical Center; spent a post-doctoral fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia; became Chair of the Department of Dermatology at the Tel Aviv Medical Center in 2008 and Full Professor at the Tel Aviv University in 2010. Serves as section editor for the British Journal of Dermatology, associate editor for the Journal of Investigative Dermatology and associate editor for the American Journal of Human Genetics. Has published over 200 peer-reviewed publications, has mentored over 40 students, and has received numerous national and international awards.
Prof. Kristian Reich, MD - Dermatologikum Hamburg
Prof. Reich studied human medicine along with German studies and philosophy at Albrecht-Ludwigs-Universität in Freiburg/Breisgau and human medicine at the Technische Universität München (Munich technical university). Kristian's scientific education was mainly in the immunology field, including in the laboratory for mucous membrane immunology at the Technischen Universität München and the clinical and experimental immunology section at Eberhard-Karl-Universität Tübingen. He also spent time researching in the USA. Prof. Reich specialised in dermatology and venereology and gained his university teaching qualification for the subject of dermatology and venereology at Georg-August-Universität Göttingen. Additional title allergology. He was appointed university professor and managing senior physician at the Universitäts-Hautklinik (university skin clinic) Göttingen. Since 2005 Prof. Reich has been the co-manager at Dermatologikum Hamburg (dermatology only institute, 150 personnel) and a founder member of SCIderm Hamburg (Scientific Research, Clinical Studies and Innovative Consulting). He has been published over 100 times in national and international medical journals and held presentations, seminars and lectures. Winner of Herbert-Herxheimer Research Prize from the German Society for Allergology and Clinical Immunology.
Prof. David Varon - CMO
Prof. Varon from the Department of Hematology in Tel Aviv Medical Center is specialized in classical hematology with a wide experience in general medicine including multiple clinical studies that he led as principal investigator in the fields of thrombosis and hemostasis. Prof. Varon co-founded and is chair of the International Platelet Symposia since 2000.He was deputy director of the national hemophilia center and director of the coagulation unit at Hadassah Hebrew University Medical Center. He developed and applied in clinics the Cone and Platelet (IMPACT) system in collaboration with Johnson & Johnson. Prof. Varon brings a wide experience in translational medical research.
